Aaron asked me to photograph their annual Robert Burns Dinner hosted by the Inland Empire Scottish Society. I attended last year and enjoyed the dinner and events. This year was wonderful! More entertainment, people and fun. More images will be posted on my website by the end of this week.

John’s proposal to Olivia

I received a call from Linda, the owner of Alpenhorn Bed & Breakfast, on Thursday saying she has a gentlemen coming up on friday to propose to his girlfriend and asked if I would be able to come up and take some pictures. What a cool opportunity, so I said of course! The Alpenhorn is a beautiful bed and breakfast in Big Bear. All their rooms have views to their wonderfully kept lawns, most rooms have private balcony’s and Linda and her husband are great!

Anyways, I went up on Friday and was able to capture some wonderful moments. I do a lot of weddings but I don’t ever get to get there he asks her to marry him. It was so fun and exciting! I didnt get to meet either of them before he proposed, but speaking with them a little later, they are really sweet, she was surprised and I she said yes!

Pinecone Festiville

The pinecone festiville is a fun event. It had things for the kids and adults. I have been the photographer for the past 2 years there and it’s been great. My kids go with me every year and enjoy themselves. There are crafts, food, animals and pinecone olympics. There are prizes to be won, big prizes. Please check out there website here.

Living Springs Christian School

My daughter started preschool this year. I am sending her to a little private school here in Running Springs. It’s a really great school. Kaylie is doing SO well. Carrie (teacher and principal) and her daughter Carra (PreK-K teacher) are wonderful! Kaylie loves them. I was able to do School Portraits for them. I dont do many things in the traditional style so I did the structured picture then I was able to get some really cute images from the kids. Here are a few of them.

Mountain Top Days Portrait Winner

On August the 8th I had a booth at the mountain top days fair here in Running Springs. It was a beautiful day, a little windy and my booth just about flew away, but it was a fun day.

I met lots of really nice people. At my booth, families had a chance to enter in to a drawing for a free family portrait session. Thank you for all who stopped by and looked at my work and those of you who entered in to my drawing.

There were 17 families who entered in to the drawing and I’m happy to say that the winner is The Allred Family. Michelle is the won who entered for her family. They live here in Running Springs and they have 3 children. I will be posting images from their session once it’s complete.

Northwood’s Resort

We had a successful Mountain Wedding Tour! One of the locations on that tour was Northwood’s. They have just started doing weddings there and had asked me to come and take some pictures.

They have a fantastic location! It’s beautiful on the inside and out. So many different places for pictures from the green lawn to the pond with water works…it’s just a great location. I had so much fun shooting there!

Mountain Wedding Tour

On May 31 at 12noon there is a mountain wedding tour taking place up in the Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear Mountains. I am the members chair person for the local wedding association and have been planning a wedding tour. This is a time that couples can come up and tour the mountain to see which location fits your wedding style. At each location there will be a chance to enter a drawing in which there will be thousands of dollars in give away prizes. I know what the prizes are and I would LOVE to win them!

Please join us. Each location may have a vendor that you would like to hire for your wedding. Dj’s, photographers, live entertainment, florists, cake decorators and much more.

Sheepfold Shelter Portraits

The Lord blessed me with an artistic eye that has allowed me to own a business and be a stay at home mom. I have been looking and praying for a “charity” to give my time and artistic imagery to, as a give. No charge, this would be a gift to them. I have been truly blessed and I was looking to be a blessing to someone else.

Listening to KSGN there was an ad for Sheepfold Shelter. This is a place that takes in abused women and their children. They house them, find jobs for them, provide childcare for their children and helps them get back on their feet with the ability to be a single mom. Personally, I have never been in that situation, but I could not even begin to think about the stories.

On the 21st of March, I was able to go to their meeting place, set up my studio and provide them with pictures that marks a turning point in their lives. I took a couple pictures of each family, one serious and one fun. They all said thank you so many times but it was me that was blessed leaving there. These women and children are so beautiful! I can not wait until I get them their portraits

I will not be posting any images on this blog/website to protect the women from the people that have harmed them. My prayer is that they will find peace and joy again!

Inland Empire Scottish Society

I was asked to be the photographer for the Inland Empire Scottish Society Robert Burns Dinner on January 24th. I have not heard of the Scottish Society and so when I was approached about this, I was not sure what to expect.

Getting there on the 24th we were excited about the event. We set up and were ready. When people started to come in for their portraits they all were beautifully dressed with their pendants, kilts and sashes. Great bold colors, super friendly people and just a pleasure to be around. Once the festivities started we were asked to join them for dinner, which was wonderful. We enjoyed the evening! The food, the company, the bagpipes and all the festivities made this night fun! Arron Creighton, is the president of the society, and he was wonderful to work with. I am looking forward to their future events.
